Meg Gardiner

Meg Gardiner, born in Oklahoma, moved to California now lives in Texas. She is a graduate of Stanford University as well as Stanford Law. She is a three time winner of Jeopardy A writer of thrillers Gardiner has won multiple awards for her books including her first novel China Lake won the 2009 Edgar Award for best paperback original; The Dirty Secrets Club won the 2009 The Romantic Times Reviewers for best procedural novel; the 2012 Audie Award for Thriller/Suspense audio book of the year for The Nightmare Thief and in 2013 The Shadow Tracer was named one of the best books of the year by Kirkus.

“Phantom Instinct is Gardiner’s 12th crime novel and it is definitely a page-turner. Beginning with a nightclub shoot out and ending with dead bodies of both the good guys and the bad guys, it is a ‘who can you trust’ kind of morality tale that features a feisty heroine paired with a reluctant cop. Both characters have visited the dark side and have a credibility problem that keeps the story moving quickly. Phantom Instinct passes the successful thriller test as the plat unfolds and your palms sweat, your breath quickens and you sometime cringe but keep on reading anyway.” Deborah Hamilton-Lynne Austin Woman, October 2014

“Two wondered warriors team up to take down the lowlifes who hurt them and would love to kill them.”

Kirkus Review

“Harper and Aiden’s alliance is full of heady chemistry, but a layer of mutual distrust lends a suspense-building unpredictable that thrill will love.
